Newcastle, England – Newcastle signed Italian defender Davide year contract.
Santon, 20, has already made seven appearances for the Italian national squad, and joins English Premier League side Newcastle on transfer reported to be in the area of $8 million.
He should move into the lineup for Jose Enrique, who joined Liverpool earlier this month. Santon played 40 matches for Inter, and can play both spots on the outside of defense.
"I am really pleased to sign for Newcastle. The chance to play in the Premier League and in front of 50,000 fans at St. James' Park was too good to turn down," Santon said.
"This is an ambitious club who want to move forward and I want to help them achieve that."
