BARCELONA, Spain --

Valencia coach Gary Neville is still winless in the Spanish league after his team fought back to salvage a 2-2 draw with relegation-threatened Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

Both teams remained without a victory in nine consecutive rounds, with Neville in charge of Valencia for the last six.

Rayo dominated the first half and went ahead through Jozabed Sanchez after 15 minutes.

With nerves fraying at Mestalla Stadium, Alvaro Negredo leveled against the flow of play with an audacious strike from near the halfway line in the 55th.

Rayo's Diego Llorente volleyed in a corner kick to seemingly end Valencia's rally in the 69th, only for Paco Alcacer to win a ball that fellow substitute Zakaria Bakali squared for him and scored with two minutes left.
