The New Jersey Nets announced Thursday that guard Keith Bogans has been diagnosed with a complete tear of the deltoid ligament as well as a fractured left ankle.

Bogans, who signed with the Nets on February 1, suffered the injury during Wednesday's home loss to Detroit. He will undergo surgery on Monday. The team did not disclose how long the 31-year-old will be out of action.

In five games this season, Bogans averaged 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds.
