NASCAR has docked Kyle Larson 15 championship points and crew chief Philip Surgen has been fined $25,000 after failing post-race laser inspection at Michigan International Speedway.

The No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing team has also been docked 15 championship owner points for the P3 violation.

Surgen replaced Chad Johnston atop the pit box at Michigan as Johnston was serving a one-race suspension for a lug nut violation at Pocono Raceway.

Brad Keselowski, Greg Biffle, David Ragan & Michael Annett have been docked 15 minutes practice time at Sonoma Raceway for failing pre-qualifying laser inspection for the third time this season.

Teams of Tony Stewart, Chase Elliott, Chris Buescher, Kurt Busch, AJ Allmendinger and Martin Truex Jr. also received written warnings for failing pre-qualifying template inspection.
