Naples, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Napoli confirmed the signing of Netherlands international midfielder Jonathan de Guzman on Wednesday from Spanish side Villarreal.
De Guzman spent the past two seasons on loan at Premiership club Swansea City, where he established himself as a key player for Welsh side.
The 26-year-old De Guzman played in 37 league matches for the Swans in his first season before making another 34 appearances last term, while he managed to net nine goals in his time for Swansea.
But he now joins former Swansea teammate Michu at Napoli, which finished third in Serie A last season.
Also on Wednesday, Napoli sold defender Federico Fernandez to Swansea for an undisclosed fee.
