Khalid Mutakabbir scored 23 points to lead four Presbyterian players in double figures as the Blue Hose beat North Greenville 91-83 Wednesday night in a shootout.

Mutakabbir got help from Ryan Hargraves, who came off the bench to score a career-high 16 points. Jordan Downing added 19 points and center Williams Truss 10.

Yet, all that barely held off North Greenville, an NCAA Division II team from North Carolina. The Crusaders (4-3), who were tied 40-40 at halftime, got 30 points from Tyshawn Patterson — including 22 in the first half. North Greenville scored the last 14 points of the first half to forge that halftime tie.

Chris Dean scored 21 points for the Crusaders and Jimmy Ellis 18. But they couldn't overcome the sizzling shooting of Presbyterian (2-7). The Blue Hose shot 62.1 percent from the floor (36 of 58), 19 of 27 in the second half.
