Sardegna, Italy – South African Moruti Mthalane retained his round stoppage of hometown fighter Andrea Sarritzu.
Mthalane (28-2, 19 KOs) was able to defend his belt for the third time since he beat Julio Cesar Miranda for the title in November 2009. Since then, he's topped Zolani Tete and Johnriel Casimero.
The latest win for Mthalane came when the corner for Sarritzu (32-5-4, 12 KOs) threw in the towel midway through the seventh round.
