DALLAS (Reuters) - The regrouping Dallas Cowboys will have to patch up their defensive line as starting end Marcus Spears has been lost for the season and back-up Sean Lissemore at least a month with injuries, the club said.
Spears suffered a torn calf muscle in Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers and was placed on injured reserve, Dallas (1-7) said on Wednesday's injury report.
Lissemore left Green Bay on crutches with a high ankle sprain.
Dallas also put rookie safety Akwasi Owusu-Ansah on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain, the team said on its website (http://www.dallascowboys.com/).
