Moore, Fernandez-Castano move into top 35 in world rankings

Philadelphia, PA ( - Ryan Moore and Gonzalo Fernandez- Castano were both winners this weekend, and that moved both of them into the top 35 in this week's world golf rankings.

Moore converted a short birdie putt on the first playoff hole Monday morning to defeat Gary Woodland and seal his third win on the PGA Tour at the CIMB Classic, while Fernandez-Castano survived a double bogey at the final hole on Sunday to earn his seventh career win on the European Tour at the BMW Masters.

Those victories caused Moore to jump 14 places in the rankings to 31st and Fernandez-Castano to vault 18 spots to No. 32.

The top of the overall rankings remained mostly unchanged, as Tiger Woods maintained the top spot ahead of Adam Scott, Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy, Steve Stricker, Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker and Jason Dufner.

Zach Johnson, Graeme McDowell, Jim Furyk, Luke Donald and Keegan Bradley held firm from 11th through 15th, while the only changes in the top 20 came with Webb Simpson and Jason Day exchanging places to sit in 16th and 17th, respectively.

Charl Schwartzel, Sergio Garcia and Jordan Spieth again rounded out the top 20.
