Monfils pulls out of Wimbledon

London, England – Oft-injured Frenchman Gael Monfils has pulled out of Wimbledon 2012, citing a knee injury.

The world No. 15 also missed the recently-concluded French Open because of the knee.

Monfils has never advanced beyond the third round on the famed grass at the All England Club. He will miss the prestigious event for the third time in five years.

The Championships will commence Monday.
