PSG failed to reclaim the top spot in Ligue 1 on Saturday after a goal from Nancy's Yohan Mollo in the 89th minute handed the capital club a 2-1 defeat.

With Montpellier not playing this weekend PSG had the chance to move three points clear at the top with a win, but Nancy claimed the first goal 18 minutes into the match when Bakaye Traore scored after some good work by Mollo on the wing to set up the goal.

PSG equalized early in the second half as Mohamed Sissoko nodded home a left- wing cross from Sylvain Armand, but the visitors were unable to push on and snatch the win over the final 40 minutes.

Instead it was Nancy that extended its unbeaten run to five games when Benjamin Moukandjo picked out Mollo with a pass near the edge of the penalty area that he dispatched past goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.

PSG remains level with Montpellier on 60 points while Nancy has won its last three games to climb six points clear of the relegation zone.

Auxerre 2, Valenciennes 0

Auxerre, France - Auxerre improved its relegation hopes on Saturday by claiming a 2-0 win over mid-table Valenciennes to move to within three points of safety.

A winless streak of 12 games kept the club rooted to the bottom of the league but the victory now moves Auxerre to within touching distance of escaping relegation, while Valenciennes has dropped three of its last four games.

Kamel Chafni beat two defenders and then fired a shot past goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau at his near post to open the scoring in the first half before Dennis Oliech added a second goal by smashing a shot off the post and into the net.

Bordeaux 1, Dijon 1

Bordeaux, France - Thomas Guerbert came off the bench to score a dramatic equalizer in stoppage time as Dijon earned a 1-1 draw at Bordeaux on Saturday.

The home side went in front in the 72nd minute after a successful penalty kick from Benoit Tremoulinas, putting Bordeaux on course for the win.

But Guerbert came onto the field as a substitute in the dying minutes and scored on his first touch from Zie Diabate's cross to move Dijon four points above the relegation places.

Evian 1, Lorient 0

Lorient, France - Evian collected its fifth win in seven games on Saturday to move comfortably into the middle of Ligue 1 after a 1-0 win at Lorient.

Lorient was unbeaten in its last three games but fell behind after 19 minutes to a goal from Brice Dja Djedje, who tapped the ball into the empty net after Yannick Sango's cross.

Lorient was never able to mount any steady pressure and Evian came closer to adding to its tally after the break.

Sochaux 2, Brest 1

Montbeliard, France - Sochaux scored two goals in the final 15 minutes to snatch a 2-1 win at home against Brest and join the visitors on 30 points.

Brest sits above Sochaux on goal difference and out of the drop zone, but with three wins from its last four games, Sochaux is in a good run of form while Brest is headed in the other direction having lost four straight.

Bruno Grougi scored on a well-struck free kick inside of three minutes for Brest, but Sochaux came on late as Modibo Maiga made the most of a rare chance and headed home a cross from Ryad Boudebouz.

And five minutes later Sochaux went in front with Slovan Privat getting on the other end of Marvin Martin's cross to head the ball beyond goalkeeper Steeve Elana.

Nice 3, St Etienne 2

Saint Etienne, France - Nice moved out of the bottom three on Saturday after claiming a 3-2 comeback win at St Etienne that saw Francois Clerc score the winning goal in the 89th minute.

St Etienne took a 2-1 lead into halftime after goals from Max-Alain Gradel and Sylvain Marchal trumped Anthony Mounier's effort for Nice.

But Mounier tallied his second goal in the 56th minute to level the contest before Clerc finished off a flicked header from Renato Civelli at the far post.
