Tampa, FL – Missouri Comets forward Byron Alvarez was named the Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week for the sixth week of the 2012-13 season on Tuesday.
Alvarez bagged a hat trick in Missouri's 14-11 defeat of the Chicago Soul at the Independence Events Center on Sunday. He finished the match with seven points.
It marks the second time this season that a Comets player has earned the award as Alvarez joins Vahid Assadpour, who claimed the award in Week 1.
Missouri returns to action with a doubleheader at the weekend, taking on the Wichita Wings on Friday before facing the Syracuse Silver Knights on Saturday.
