Flushing Meadows, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The 2014 mixed doubles champions at the U.S. Open are Indian Sania Mirza and Brazilian Bruno Soares.

The top-seeded duo snuck past an unseeded tandem of American Abigail Spears and Mexican Santiago Gonzalez 6-1, 2-6, 11-9, with the third set being decided via super tiebreak.

The 27-year-old Mirza now owns three mixed Grand Slam titles, with only Wimbledon escaping her grasp, while the 32-year-old Soares is a two-time U.S. Open mixed champ, having also captured this title two years ago.

Gonzalez is now a three-time mixed Grand Slam runner-up, including back-to- back at the U.S. Open.

The winning team will split $150,000.
