Tampa, FL – Milwaukee Wave forward Nick Perera has been named the Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week for the final week of the 2012-13 season.
Perera recorded five goals and added two assists in Milwaukee's three victories this week, sending the Wave into the postseason on a high note.
The Wave striker posted two goals and an assist in the club's 12-8 win over the Syracuse Silver Knights on Wednesday before replicating the line in a 10-6 win over Syracuse on Saturday. He completed the week by netting a goal in the Wave's 8-6 win over the Wichita Wings.
