Veronica Charlyn Corral scored twice in overtime to send Mexico to next year's World Cup with a 4-2 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in the third-place match of the CONCACAF Women's Championship on Sunday.

Sandra Stephany Mayor scored in the first half for Mexico, but Kennya Cordner had a tying header in the 57th minute. Trinidad and Tobago briefly took the lead on Mariah Shade's goal in the 79th minute.

But Monica Ocampo scored a minute later to even the match at 2. Corral's go-ahead goal came in the 104th minute and her second came in the 106th.

The top three teams in the tournament earned spots in the World Cup, but Trinidad and Tobago can still qualify next month by emerging from a two-match series against Ecuador.

Costa Rica and the United States, who qualified by winning in the semifinals, play for the championship on Sunday night.
