Brian Mills scored 24 points and Mercer overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Jacksonville 70-68 in overtime Thursday night.

Mercer (6-13, 3-5 Atlantic Sun Conference) also got 19 points from Jeff Smith as the Bears won their second in a row — both coming on big second-half rallies.

The Dolphins (11-6, 5-3) scored only two points in the first eight minutes of the second half to give Mercer life. After leading 43-33 at the break, Jacksonville mustered only 19 points in the remainder of regulation.

The Dolphins began overtime with a dunk by Glenn Powell, who led the team with 16 points. But that was Jacksonville's last lead. Mark Hall answered with a 3-pointer to start a 7-0 run and the Bears stayed in front.

Jacksonville had one last chance to tie after Mills made a free throw with 1.2 seconds left, but Tevin Galvin's 5-foot jumper missed.
