OXNARD, Calif. (AP) Darren McFadden is finally taking handoffs in practice at training camp for the Dallas Cowboys.

After being relegated to side work for the first two weeks in California because of a hamstring problem, the oft-injured McFadden participated in the morning walkthrough Saturday. That's an indication he will get some work in the afternoon practice, although coach Jason Garrett said he would be eased in.

McFadden was a top 10 pick by Oakland in 2008 but had seven disappointing and injury-plagued seasons with the Raiders. The 27-year-old signed with Dallas in free agency after NFL rushing champion DeMarco Murray left for Philadelphia.

Lance Dunbar also returned Saturday after missing a week with a sprained right ankle.
