McCoist challenges Rangers to improve home form
Glasgow, Scotland – Rangers manager Ally McCoist has called on his team to put together a much more consistent effort at home ahead of the club's match with Inverness at Ibrox on Saturday.
McCoist's men are unbeaten at home this season, making McCoist's request seem odd, but the club has dropped points at Ibrox against both St Mirren and St Johnstone and has lacked a consistently high level of performance.
"Every game is vital and the match with Inverness will be a tough one for us because they're a tricky team and our home form hasn't always been as good as we'd like," McCoist said.
"Our away form has certainly been more encouraging than some of our displays at Ibrox."
Despite some below par outings at home this season, Rangers enters the match four points clear at the top of the league, while Inverness has lost 11 of its 18 games in the SPL this season, including three of its last four.
Celtic brings a six-match winning streak into its contest at fourth-place St Johnstone on Sunday with the hosts having lost two straight games. The Hoops were bounced from the Europa League in midweek after a 1-1 draw at Udinese.
Motherwell enters the weekend in third place after earning seven points from its last three games and hosts St Mirren, Aberdeen and Hibernian tangle at Pittodrie Stadium and Hearts tries to snap a run of three defeats in four games when the club hosts last-place Dunfermline.
