Matt Kuchar thrived in tough conditions at the Memorial that sent Tiger Woods to the worst nine holes of his PGA Tour career.

Kuchar survived a nasty combination of swirling wind and fast greens Saturday at Muirfield Village for a 2-under 70 that gave him a two-shot lead going into the final round. He will be trying for the first multiple-win season of his career. He was at 8-under 208.

Kevin Chappell matched the low round of a tough day with a 4-under 68 and was two shots behind. He was joined by Kyle Stanley, who had a 70.

Woods started on the back nine and shot 44 without any penalty shots. He wound up with a 79 to match his second-highest score as a pro and was 16 shots behind.
