Beast Mode appears to be calling it quits.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has told confidants he plans to retire, ESPN reported Sunday.

According to the report, Lynch's teammates are trying to convince him to come back for a 10th season. Lynch played a career-low seven games last season due to an abdomen injury, finishing with career lows in carries (111) and rushing yards (417).

Since 2011, Lynch leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns (51) thanks to his bruising running style.

Lynch is the latest NFL star reportedly contemplating retirement. Last month, it was reported that Detroit Lions star wideout Calvin Johnson is also mulling walking away from the NFL because of the toll football has taken on his body.
