TORONTO (Reuters) - Clarke MacArthur was rewarded with a two-year contract following a breakout season where he set career highs in goals and assists, the National Hockey League said on Tuesday.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed but local media reports said the contract is worth $6.5 million.
MacArthur, a third round pick of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, registered 21 goals and 41 assists last season with Toronto.
The 26-year-old Canadian has registered 65 goals and 85 assists for 150 points in 290 career NHL games with Toronto, Atlanta and Buffalo.
