Lyon agrees to new deal with Bastos

Lyon, France – Lyon announced on Wednesday that the club has agreed to a new contract with Michel Bastos that will keep him at the Stade de Gerland until 2015.

The Brazil international joined Lyon from Lille in 2009 on a four-year contract. However, Bastos has now extended his stay a further two years after being linked with a move away from France this past summer.

The 28-year-old has scored two goals in eight games this season for Lyon, which sits tied atop the Ligue 1 table with PSG and Toulouse.
