Lynx take down Mercury to reach WNBA Finals

Maya Moore and Taj McWilliams-Franklin each 86 victory over the Phoenix Mercury.

Each of the Lynx's starters recorded scores in double digits as Lindsay Whalen, Seimone Augustus and Rebekkah Brunson added 18, 16 and 12 points, respectively.

DeWanna Bonner and Diana Taurasi each posted a game-high 22 points. Bonner also pulled down 10 rebounds and Candice Dupree added another double-double with 18 points and 11 boards in defeat.

It was a close game through the first two quarters as Minnesota led by four after the first quarter and Phoenix held a two-point advantage at the half. But the Lynx outscored the Mercury, 60-41, over the final two quarters to punch their ticket to the WNBA finals.

Minnesota awaits the winner of the Atlanta Dream/Indiana Fever Eastern Conference finals, which the Dream knotted at one game apiece with a win on Sunday.
