Lucio to miss one month for Inter
Milan, Italy – Inter Milan defender Lucio is set to miss the next month because of a thigh strain suffered in Champions League play on Tuesday.
The Brazil international sustained the injury in a 1-1 draw with Trabzonspor, a result that clinched the top spot in Group B for the Nerazzurri.
Despite playing the full 90 minutes in the match, it has been confirmed that Lucio has a second-degree strain in his left thigh, keeping him out of Inter's final group stage match against CSKA Moscow on December 7.
The 33-year-old has started nine of Inter's 10 games in league play, but he will miss upcoming matches with Siena, Udinese, Fiorentina, Genoa, Cesena and Lecce.
Inter enters the weekend in 16th place, three points above the drop zone.
