With only nine days until National Signing Day on Feb. 3, schools are fighting tooth-and-nail in order to sign the best recruiting classes possible. Crossover between programs and specific recruits are often inevitable.

In the case of Texas and LSU, the two illustrious programs are currently going head-to-head against one another for the services of 2016 prospects Deontay Anderson and D'Andre Christmas-Giles.

Christmas-Giles -- a 6'4", 290-pound defensive tackle from New Orleans -- is down to LSU, Texas, and TCU. A Rivals.com 4-star safety from Manvel, Tex., Anderson is considering the likes of LSU, Texas, and Ole Miss.

It isn't very often when LSU fails to land an elite prospect in its backyard -- which is exactly what Christmas-Giles is. Should the Tigers land Christmas-Giles, it could effectively have its starting defensive tackle duo of the future (along with recent pledge Rashard Lawrence).

An uber-athletic player, Anderson would fit exceptionally well on any of the three finalists he's considering. After visiting Texas and LSU the last two weekends, he will head to Ole Miss this upcoming weekend for his final official visit.
