Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Nick Solak hit a two-run homer and drove in three and Louisville advanced to the College World Series for the third time with a 7-4 win over Kennesaw State on Saturday to sweep the best-of-three super regional series.
Cole Sturgeon had three hits, drove in three runs and threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings for the Cardinals, who earned their second straight trip to Omaha.
They scored seven runs with 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings against Kennesaw State starter Travis Bergen.
Anthony Kidston gave up four runs on nine hits in six innings for Louisville, which rallied for three runs in the eighth inning to win Friday's opener.
