Lorient, France – Lorient was dealt a huge blow with the news that captain Bruno Manga will miss the next 5-6 months after rupturing medial and cruciate knee ligaments.
Manga sustained the injury in his club's 2-2 draw against PSG when he collided with Zlata Ibrahimovic on the opening weekend of the season, and he will require immediate surgery.
The 24-year-old is key member of Lorient's defense who featured in 32 Ligue 1 matches and scored two goals for the club last term.
Up next for Lorient will be a visit from defending league champions Montpellier.
