Turin, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Juventus striker Fernando Llorente scored two goals in quick succession on Monday to give the club a 2-0 home win over Livorno.
The two sides were level until the 32nd minute when Llorente broke through for his first of the match.
It did not take the Spaniard long to strike again as he doubled Juve's advantage just three minutes later.
The Juventus defense was stout throughout the match and was able to maintain its clean sheet, lifting the Serie A leaders to 84 points on the season.
AC Milan also earned a victory on Monday, surviving in a 2-1 win at Genoa.
Adel Taarabt has given visiting Milan the lead after 20 minutes while Keisuke Honda extended it in the 56th.
Genoa was handed a lifeline with 17 minutes to play when goalkeeper Christian Abbiati conceded an owl goal, but the visitors managed to stave off some late pressure to preserve the win.
