Little scores big goals in Jets win over Bruins
Bryan Little scored two goals two minutes apart in the third period to carry the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-2 win at the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins on Friday.
Little gave the Jets their third lead of the game, breaking a 2-2 tie, deftly kicking a rebound to his stick before firing a shot past Tuukka Rask four minutes into the third period, and struck again two minutes later converting from a beautiful pass from Blake Wheeler.
The Bruins dominated the opening period but could not beat Jets' goalie Ondrej Pavelec, then found themselves behind early in the second period following a goal by Jets' winger Alexander Burmistrov. Jordan Caron tied the game with a low snap shot six minutes later.
Wheeler re-established the Jets' advantage late in the second period and David Krejci tied the game for a second time in the opening minute of the third period.
