Allen Park, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Lions signed cornerback Danny Gorrer and placed cornerback Nevin Lawson on season-ending injured reserve.
Lawson suffered a dislocated toe in Sunday's loss to Carolina and had surgery in Charlotte on Sunday. The Lions had already lost cornerback Bill Bentley (ACL).
Gorrer has played in 27 career games (two starts) with St. Louis, Baltimore, Seattle and Tampa Bay, recording 31 tackles and one interception.
The Lions also signed linebacker Julian Stanford from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and added linebacker Jerrell Harris to the practice squad.
