The result sees third-place Lille close the gap in the Ligue 1 table after leaders Montpellier suffered a shock 1-0 loss to Valenciennes on Saturday. Montpellier, on 36 points, is tied with PSG but retains the top spot on goal differential, while Lille trails by just two points.
Lille has not lost in league play since Aug. 14, producing a 15-game undefeated streak to help the club remain in title contention early on.
Dijon remains in the bottom-half of the table, tied with Sochaux and Auxerre on 18 points apiece.
Auxerre 2, Nice 1
Auxerre, France - Auxerre snapped its three-game losing skid in Ligue 1 play with a 2-1 win over Nice at Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps on Sunday.
Dennis Oliech gave Auxerre the lead in the 13th minute, but it was canceled out by an equalizer from Eric Mouloungui nine minutes later. Ben Sahar, on loan from Spanish club Espanyol, tallied the game-winner 25 minutes from time.
Auxerre improves to 18 points on the year, tied with Sochaux and Dijon but holding the edge on goal differential, while Nice remains second-from-bottom with just 14 points.
Lyon 1, Lorient 0
Lorient, France - Lyon secured its third-straight win in Ligue 1 play on Sunday, topping Lorient, 1-0, at the Stade du Moustoir.
Alexandre Lacazette scored the lone goal for the visitors in the 54th minute to lead them into sole possession of fourth place in the French top flight with 32 points. Lyon trails Montpellier and PSG for the league-lead by four points.
Lorient has now dropped two-straight league matches to fall into ninth place with 23 points.
