Lille adds Argentine Cetto on loan from Palermo

Lille, France – Lille acquired defender Mauro Cetto on loan for the rest of the season Thursday from Italian club Palermo.

The 29-year-old Argentine started his career with Rosario Central, but later played in France with Nantes (2002-08) and Toulouse (2008-11) before moving to Palermo.

The center back played just seven times for Palermo this season and could make his return to France permanent when the loan expires this summer.

Lille, the defending Ligue 1 champion, is currently third in the standings and seven points behind first-place PSG.
