The Packers have extended an offer to restricted free agent linebacker Jamari Lattimore, but did not make one to their other restricted free agent, safety M.D. Jennings.

Undrafted out of Middle Tennessee State in 2011, Lattimore played 15 games and started four last year with 31 tackles and two sacks. He filled in admirably for Brad Jones on Green Bay's injury-ravaged defense and also served as a key contributor on special teams.

Green Bay would hold the right of first refusal should another team be interested in Lattimore.

Jennings started 26 games the last two years with one interception. The Packers could look elsewhere to boost the secondary, and coach Mike McCarthy has said the team needed more impact players across the defense.
