Sutton goes to Sens

The Ottawa Senators have acquired veteran defenseman Andy Sutton from the New York Islanders in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2010 NHL draft.

The 34-year-old Sutton has 34 goals and 101 assists in 567 games with San Jose, Minnesota, Atlanta and the Islanders. The 6-foot-6 defenseman has 984 career penalty minutes, including 73 this season while posting four goals and eight assists in 54 games with New York. Read more...

Panthers' Leopold heads to Pens

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired defenseman Jordan Leopold in a deal with the Florida Panthers.

Ducks send defenseman to Blackhawks

The Anaheim Ducks have traded defenseman Nick Boynton to the Chicago Blackhawks for future considerations.

Boynton was with the AHL's Manitoba Moose when the trade was announced Tuesday. After signing with Anaheim as a free agent last July, he scored seven points in 42 games. Read more...
