Kansas City, KS – FC Dallas earned a dramatic win in a tough 2 at Livestrong Sporting Park on Saturday.
Kei Kamara and Omar Bravo provided the goals to give Sporting a 2-0 lead, but Ugo Imehelu, Maicon Santos, and Bobby Warshaw overturned the deficit to claim all three points.
Kamara got Sporting off the mark in the 22nd minute, taking advantage of a defensive miscue to earn his eighth goal of the year.
Bravo doubled the lead for Sporting in the 68th before Imehelu quickly pulled a goal back for Dallas in the 70th minute.
Sporting striker Teal Bunbury was sent off in the 76th minute after receiving his second yellow card, giving FC Dallas a man advantage.
Dallas did not let the advantage go to waste, as Santos equalized in the 89th minute before Warshaw provided the game-winner in injury time.
The match was reminiscent of Sporting's last home loss, which saw K.C. concede two injury time goals en route to a 2-1 loss to Seattle Sounders FC.
With the win, Dallas snaps its three-game winless streak to keep pace with Seattle in the Western Conference.
Sporting (9-8-9) will continue its long homestand when it hosts the Los Angeles Galaxy on Monday, while Dallas (13-7-7) will return to action on September 10 when it faces the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium.
