Ole Miss plans to sit their preseason All-American left tackle Laremy Tunsil as a precautionary measure with rumors of a possible NCAA investigation.

The Rebels issued a statement Saturday morning regarding Tunsil's status:

Tunsil was the subject of an offseason drama in Oxford after being arrested by police for his role in a domestic situation at his home involving his stepfather. Until today, the situation had thought to be resolved and Tunsil's status was not in question.

The left tackle is projected to be one of the top prospects in the 2016 NFL Draft and rumors of his involvement with NFL agents came from his stepfather after the arrest. It is unknown at this time if this is what the NCAA may be investigating.
