Langston Hall scores 20 points as Mercer stays perfect at home, beating Lipscomb 79-48

Langston Hall scored 20 points Friday night as Mercer remained perfect at home this season, rolling to a 79-48 win over Lipscomb.

Mercer (20-6, 11-2 Atlantic Sun Conference) held Lipscomb to just 16 first-half points while limiting the Bisons to 14.3 percent shooting (4-of-28) in the first 20 minutes. The Bears made 16 of 28 (57.1 percent) from the floor and 7 of 15 from 3-point range.

Hall made three 3s and scored 11 points during a 20-5 first-half run which gave Mercer a 25-9 advantage with just fewer than 12 minutes left in the half. Lipscomb (11-14, 6-8) made just one field goal the rest of the half as the Bears took a 43-16 lead into the break.

Darious Moten added 13 points for Mercer, which led by as many as 38 — twice — in the second half.

Josh Williams paced the Bisons with 14 points.
