Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum departed Sunday night's game against Golden State due to a moderate sprain of his left ankle.

Bynum was hurt late in the first quarter when he rolled the ankle by landing on the foot of teammate Josh McRoberts while contesting a shot from David Lee.

X-rays taken at the Staples Center were negative. He won't return to tonight's game and will be evaluated Monday.

Bynum, who has played 49 consecutive games since a four-game suspension to start the season, entered Sunday with an average of 18.3 points and 12.1 rebounds per contest.
