Cedric Kuakumensah notched a career-high 30 points and Brown put down Cornell 81-75 in OT on Saturday.

It took 2 minutes for any team to score in the extra period before Brown managed a 5-0 run and took a 72-67 advantage into the final 1:25 of overtime. Sean McGonagill's trey with 50 seconds remaining crushed Cornell's hopes of catching the Bears by the buzzer.

Cornell (2-22, 1-9 Ivy League) and Brown (14-10, 6-4) traded leads throughout the second period. Two missed free throws by Cornell's Nolan Cressler in the final minute allowed Kuakumensah time to score a layup and tie the score at 67, forcing OT.

Brown trailed Cornell 36-34 at intermission with the Big Red needing a win to stay out of lone possession of the Ivy League cellar spot.

Cressler scored a career-high 34 points for Cornell.
