Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier will not play for the rest of the season because of a knee injury that has not improved.

The Dodgers announced on their Twitter account Thursday the team and Ethier have decided that, because his right knee hasn't improved, he should stop playing and seek "all opinions to determine the next course of action."

Ethier put together a 30-game hitting streak early this season. In 135 games, he has hit .292 with a .368 on-base percentage, 11 homers and 62 RBI.
