Mainz, Germany – Ivan Klasnic and Andreas Ivanschitz will not return to the Coface Arena next season after Mainz revealed that the club will not renew their respective contracts.
"These were human painful decisions but we have decided to make changes," general manager Christian Heidel said at a press conference.
Ivanschitz has made 29 appearances for Mainz this season, scoring six goals and adding six assists.
Klasnic, who made the move to Mainz from Bolton last summer, has managed just three appearances.
Mainz also revealed that midfielder Marco Caligiuri and defender Radoslav Zabavnik will not return to the club next season.
