Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund added midfielder Oliver Kirch, who agreed to a two-year deal after moving from Kaiserslautern.

The 29-year-old has appeared in a total of 125 Bundesliga matches for Monchengladbach, Arminia Bielefeld and Kaiserslautern, where he tallied one goal in 23 appearances last term.

"We're very happy with this transfer," said Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc. "Oliver is versatile both in defense and midfield, has a lot of experience and is a tremendously positive character."

Kaiserslautern finished on the bottom of the Bundesliga last season, but Kirch will be joining a team that finished eight points clear at the top of the league in Dortmund, which has also added Monchengladbach's Marco Reus and Leonardo Bittencourt of Energie Cottbus.
