Sacramento, CA – The Sacramento Kings have re-signed guard year deal, and signed free-agent forward Chuck Hayes to a contract.
Thornton, acquired via trade from the New Orleans Hornets for forward Carl Landry last season, averaged 21.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 27 games played with the Kings last season.
The 28-year-old Hayes averaged 7.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game for the Houston Rockets last year.
