Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Sacramento Kings acquired forwards Rudy Gay and Quincy Acy and center Aaron Gray from the Toronto Raptors in a seven-player deal announced Monday.

The Kings traded guard Greivis Vasquez and forwards John Salmons, Patrick Patterson and Chuck Hayes to the Raptors in return.

Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro said the trade adds size and depth to his team's frontcourt. Raptors GM Masai Ujiri touted the deal's benefits in giving them flexibility moving forward.

Gay, who has averaged 18.0 points in seven-plus NBA seasons, was dealt for the second time in 2013.

In January, the Raptors acquired him from the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a three-team trade.

Gay appeared in 33 games for Toronto last season and averaged 19.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 18 games this season. He was shooting a career-low 38.8 percent with a higher turnover rate than at any point in his career.

The Kings have been active in trades recently, also making a splash last month when they acquired former No. 2 draft pick Derrick Williams from the Minnesota Timberwolves for Luc Mbah a Moute.
