FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) Former Germany striker Kevin Kuranyi has returned to the Bundesliga after five seasons with Dynamo Moscow by signing a one-year deal with Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim says it has the option to extend the contract of the 33-year-old Brazil-born striker.

Kuranyi played 52 games for Germany and scored 19 goals before being kicked off the team in 2008 by coach Joachim Loew. Kuranyi had not been selected to play against Russia and left the stadium for home at halftime. Loew said he would never select Kuranyi again.

Kuranyi played for Stuttgart and Schalke before moving to Russia and scored 141 goals in 340 matches for the two Bundesliga clubs.
