Seydou Keita has decided to leave Barcelona, the club confirmed on Saturday.

Keita had two years remaining on his Barcelona contract but opted to exercise a clause in the deal that said he was allowed to leave the club if he failed to feature in at least 50 percent of the team's matches last season.

The Mali international is now expected to sign a contract with Chinese club Dalian Aerbin.

Keita joined Barcelona in 2008 from Sevilla and tallied 22 goals in 168 matches for Barca, but made just 22 starts last season, prompting his departure.
