Japan's Kei Nishikori, a quarterfinalist in the 2012 Olympic Games, made it to the second round with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas - but the match wasn't without a small amount of drama.

Nishikori lost the handle on his racket as he served the ball to Ramos-Vinolas, but he had time to pick his racket back up and scramble to hit a return. 10 shots later, Nishikori took the point.
