Matt Jones and George McNeill fired under 66s on Thursday to share the lead after one round of the Puerto Rico Open.

Jones and McNeill sit one shot ahead of Ben Curtis, who carded a bogey-free 67. Jeff Overton, Kevin Kisner, Todd Hamilton and Daniel Summerhays are tied for fourth after going four-under Thursday.

While most of the top-ranked players in the world are in Florida for the WGC- Cadillac Championship, the Puerto Rico field includes seven former major champions. Among them are Curtis and Hamilton, both British Open winners.

Also in that major group are two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen, 2003 PGA Champion Shaun Micheel and Angel Cabrera, who earned victories at the 2007 U.S. Open and 2009 Masters. They are in a large group tied for eighth at three-under.
