Johnson hurt in training, Davis, Goodson, Wondolowski added to US training roster for Jamaica
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – U.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added midfielder Brad Davis, defender Clarence Goodson and forward Chris Wondolowski to his training camp roster on the eve the Americans' World Cup qualifier against Jamaica.
Wondolowski replaced Eddie Johnson, who strained his left groin during a training session on Wednesday. Johnson was scheduled for an MRI exam later Thursday.
Davis played in the Houston Dynamo's scoreless draw with Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday night, while Wondolowski scored the game-winner and Goodson went 90 minutes as the San Jose Earthquakes picked up a 1-0 win against the Colorado Rapids.
The U.S. has already booked its place at next year's World Cup in Brazil. After facing Jamaica on Friday night, it will conclude its qualifying campaign at Panama on Tuesday.
