Johnathan Williams had three total touchdowns and Grambling State survived Alcorn State's fourth-quarter rally for a 28-21 victory on Saturday.

In a matchup of Southwestern Athletic Conference division leaders, Grambling State (4-3, 4-0) also became the lone undefeated team in conference play by knocking off Alcorn State (5-2, 3-1).

Williams opened the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run and extended the lead to 21-0 on a 26-yard touchdown pass to Ka'Jandre Domino. Williams added his second touchdown run early in the third quarter to make it 28-7 before Alcorn State rallied with a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Grambling State sealed the victory on the final play, stopping the Braves' hook-and-lateral play near the 20.

Zerick Rollins found Alondrea Young for a 5-yard touchdown pass — on a fake field goal — to cut the Braves' deficit to 21-7 before halftime.
